Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Tracey Onslow was impressed by the bravery of officers, staff and the public at the North Worcestershire Commendation Awards.
The awards honoured those who had saved lives and protected communities. They commended police officers whose hard work and commitment had gone beyond the call of duty to help victims, and members of the public who’s extraordinary actions made a massive impact.
Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Tracey Onslow said “ Police officers and staff already do challenging roles in difficult situations. I was honoured to attend the awards and see the impressive work of our officers who have gone beyond this, putting others before themselves. I was also impressed by our community members who have done something exceptional to help the communities we live in.
PCC John Campion made a commitment to putting victims first, and these people are doing just this. I will help him ensure they get the recognition they deserve and would like to publicly thank them on behalf of the communities we serve.”
The awards took place at West Mercia Police Headquarters, Hindlip on Tuesday 29th November 2016. For more information on the recipients visit the West Mercia Police Website
