FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 – INFORMATION REQUEST
Request
This is an information request relating to Pride Month 2024.
Please include the following information:
Whether any events have been organised for Pride month. If so please provide the date, start and end time, and title/topic of the event.
Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride Month. i.e. since the
beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so please provide me with information on what has been
purchased and the cost.
Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please provide
details of the nature of the sponsorship (particularly the financial value).

No events have been organised by the PCC for Pride but his team did attend Redditch Pride on
June 8th from 11:00am – 3:00pm. Th team joined the local SNT and pride network at the event to
talk to the public.
Whether any LGBT themed merchandise has been purchased for Pride month. i.e. since the
beginning of the 2024/25 financial year. If so please provide me with information on what has been
purchased and the cost.
2024/25 CCF
Redditch Pride: £297.78
This grant originally came in as a CCF application however was funded by business support in the
end. Therefore, no OPCC money was used for this, and no grant was given.

The PCC will aim to deal with your complaint within 10 working days. If you are dissatisfied with the response you can ask for the matter
to be internally reviewed. Internal reviews will be completed promptly and a response given to you within 20 working days of your further

600 Rainbow Flags, 800 Rainbow Wristbands, 800 Rainbow Badges, 2000 Pride Stickers.
Whether the organisation have sponsored any Pride events. If so which events and please provide

With this question the word ‘sponsored’ has been interpreted as providing any funding to a specific
event or an endorsement of an event. I therefore do not think the mere attendance at a Pride event
constitutes to sponsoring the event.
