In accordance with the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011, I write to confirm that the West Mercia Police and Crime Panel reviewed your draft Annual Report on 25 July 2024 in a public meeting which took place at Herefordshire Council. Thank you for your attendance.
As required in the Act, please accept this letter as the report of the Panel following its consideration of your draft Annual Report 2023-24.
During the consideration of this Report, the Panel praised the breadth of content and improved layout of the report, observing that it was easy to read and a helpful summary of what the Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC’s) role involves. The Panel suggested that it should be published widely to increase the public’s awareness and knowledge of the work of the PCC.
I note that you are required to have regard to the Panel’s report and provide a response which will be published. I look forward to this response in due course.
