‘Roads Focus’ is a campaign that focuses on giving members of the public the ownership to share their views on the roads throughout West Mercia.

PCC John Campion is committed to reducing the number of people killed or seriously injured on roads across West Mercia. As part of this commitment, he created the Roads Focus campaign in partnership with local authorities.

There are currently no events running, but please see below for where the PCC and partners have been to hear and address concerns from the public. Please also revisit this section for updates on future events.

From Monday 8th to Friday 12th July 2019, the PCC worked with Shropshire Council to deliver a week of drop-in sessions. At each drop-in session there were representatives from the PCC’s office, Shropshire Council, the local policing teams, the Safer Roads Partnership and the local councillor. Anyone wanting to raise concerns they have with roads in their area could attend – this could be anything from speeding to lack of signage.

At the end of the week, following the four drop-in sessions, a free driver awareness session was held in association with TTC and the West Mercia Police Roads Policing team. Those attending had the opportunity to become a better driver and brush-up on their driving knowledge.

The drop-in sessions were held in the following locations:
