PCC John Campion is looking forward to hearing from communities through a programme of summer events across West Mercia.
The PCC and his team will be attending large public events that will give communities the opportunity to talk to him about concerns and local issues. People will also be encouraged to have their say on policing in their area, as well as the police estate, through consultations – both of which are running until July.
The event programme for this year is as follows:
- Worcester Carnival – Saturday 2nd July
- Ledbury Celebration – Saturday 10th July
- Water Safety Day, Bridgnorth – Saturday 23rd July
- Pershore Plum Festival – Saturday 27th August
- Ludlow Food Festival – Friday 9th September
- Broadway Food Festival – Sunday 11th September
PCC John Campion said: “I’m looking forward to getting out again this summer with a larger programme of events, after having a couple of years of not being able to. I’m committed to ensuring that the public voice is reflected in policing, so opportunities like this are invaluable.
“This year I am specifically seeking feedback around the police estate, as well as understanding community concerns and priorities ahead of setting next year’s budget. However, I would like to talk to people about anything they wish to raise with me. If you’re planning on coming to any of the events, please drop by and say hello.”
