PCC John Campion is funding a new and exciting project aimed at improving the road safety of young cyclists and motorbike riders.
The Young Rider Road Safety project will be run by the North Worcestershire Safer Neighbourhood Teams and cadets from now until the autumn. The aim of the project is to offer advice and educate young cyclists and motorbike riders on road safety, and ultimately reduce the number of road casualties in the area. Those who engage with the project at community events will receive road safety gear, such as high-vis rucksack covers, reflective bands and bike lights.
PCC John Campion said: “Too many people die or are seriously injured on our roads. This exciting new project supports my commitment to keep our roads safe. By working with young people, it will not only provide them with invaluable advice to keep themselves and others safe on the roads, but it will also help to break down barriers with young people.”
