The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner has welcomed the news that the national Independent Inquiry into child sexual abuse, will be coming to Telford in the coming months.
Police and Crime Commissioner John Campion said “I have been fully supportive of the Jay inquiry throughout, and hope our communities will be reassured by its arrival in Telford. As Commissioner I am committed to ensuring victims get the right help at the right time. Scrutiny is important and welcome if it improves services, reassures our communities and helps victims. I hope this inquiry process will be useful on all of those points to ensure victims and communities get the answers they need.”
