The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner has welcomed a range of West Mercia Police materials to help address cyberbullying and online harassment, produced in seven languages for young people who speak English as an additional language.
The materials were first launched in English last year and have already been shared widely on social media and at local events held across West Mercia.
They have also been shared with more than 600 schools across West Mercia and attracted interest from other police forces in the UK.
Commissioner John Campion said “Our want our communities to be safe and feel safe, and having materials that are inclusive and accessible is an important part of this. I welcome the police’s approach, using education to prevent crime and I committed to ensuring they have the resources to address the emerging demands around cyber crime. I would encourage our communities to take advantage of this opportunity, by accessing the materials that will help to keep them safe online.”
