Following the introduction by the Government of the Online Safety Bill today, PCC John Campion said:
“I welcome the news today, the Online Safety Bill will offer protection to some of the most vulnerable users on the internet. It is about time that technology firms will be held accountable and will take responsibility for content shared on their networks.
“I am dedicated to protecting and supporting the communities of West Mercia and the introduction of this safety bill will ensure protection for the residents when online, reducing the risk of cyber bullying, exposure to pornography, revenge porn and other harmful content”
