West Mercia residents can now get news updates from their PCC through a community messaging system.
Communities across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and Worcestershire can keep up-to-date with the latest news from the PCC by signing up to Neighbourhood Matters.
Subscribers, who opt into hearing from the PCC, will receive regular news on community funding, how they can get involved in surveys/consultations, when they can meet the PCC at public engagement events and much more.
Registering for alerts is completely free, subscribers can decide who they hear from (such as their PCC and local policing team), how they want to receive messages (text, voicemail or email) and what they want to receive messages about.
PCC John Campion said: “I made a commitment to make the best use of the tools and methods available for communicating with communities, to ultimately ensure people feel informed, engaged and involved. Through Neighbourhood Matters communities will receive news and information about where they live, as well as when they can have their say in surveys that I will use when making decisions on behalf of them.”
